License Category for Online Sellers
Packaged food sellers on e-commerce platforms typically need at least a State License. Multi-state sellers who ship across India often require a Central License. Basic Registration is usually insufficient for online sellers due to the multi-state nature of e-commerce.
Platform Requirements
Marketplaces like Amazon, Flipkart and JioMart require sellers to provide a valid FSSAI license number during onboarding. Without it, you cannot list food products on these platforms.
