After submitting your FSSAI application or renewal, you can track its status online through the FoSCoS (Food Safety Compliance System) portal. Here is how.
Step-by-Step Process
- Visit the FoSCoS portal at foodsafetyonline.fssai.gov.in
- Click on “Application Status” in the main menu
- Enter your application reference number or registration number
- Enter the captcha code displayed
- Click “Search” to view your current status
What the Status Means
- Applied: Application submitted, awaiting review
- Under Review: Department is processing your application
- Query Raised: Department needs additional information or documents
- Inspection Scheduled: A food safety officer will visit your premises
- Granted: License issued successfully
- Rejected: Application denied — check rejection reason and reapply
Responding to Queries
If your status shows “Query Raised,” respond within the stipulated timeframe — usually 15 to 30 days. Failure to respond results in automatic rejection of the application.
